"Okay, I have had more time to look at the medium range model runs now, and I do not like what I see! After the briefest of milder spells this weekend, the cold weather returns next week. By Tuesday we could see snow falling again over East Anglia and SE England (probably starting as rain and sleet). Then the weather turns even colder with some severe ice problems as the snow clears the south. It's the back end of next week which is causing me most concern now, especially Thursday into Friday as a bitter. Arctic airstream combines with low pressure to the east and brings the threat of widespread snow. Of course, I'll keep you up to date as we know more, but you should now be planning for a return to severe weather by the middle to end of next week. "
