Bár most csend van, és pár napja alig esik, az árvízhelyzet romlik itt nálunk. Ma kiadott figyelmeztetés, és ez csak 1 megyére szól (Galway), ami nem is a legdurvábban érintett!!:

Galway County Council update on the flooding situation 23.11.09 at 9.00am.
Motorists are requested not to travel unless absolutely essential. In case of emergencies relating to flooding please phone 091-509309.
The following are the principal routes affected, however, there are many other routes impassable and extreme caution is advised on all routes.
Significant tailbacks are developing on the N84 Galway to Headford road arising from flooding adjacent to the Clare Bridge. Drivers are asked to avoid this area if possible and can expect very serious delays.
For essential travel to Galway City the following detour is in place - Tuam to Horseleap Cross via the R332. Turn right on to the N63 to Abbeyknockmoy and on to Annagh Cross on the N63. Turn left on R347 to Athenry. Take the R348 to Derrydonnell and Galway via the N6.
The situation at Craughwell has improved and the N6 at Craughwell was re-opened to traffic at 7a.m.this morning, Monday 23rd November, 2009.
Sections of the M6 from Loughrea to Galway City remain open on a temporary basis. This matter will be reviewed at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Monday, 23rd November, 2009. In the meantime drivers are asked to obey all signals, stay in lane and no overtaking. The maximum speed limit is 50 kilometres per hour. Pedestrians and cyclists are not allowed on the M6
N65 between Portumna and the Tipperary border (River Shannon) – impassable and Bridge Crossing at Portumna is closed. Alternative route as follows:
From Galway: Detour from Killimor to Eyrecourt to Banagher on the R356: Then on wards to Birr on the R 439 and from Birr to Borrisokane on the N52.
To :Galway : Detour from Borrisokane to Birr on the N52, Birr to Banagher on the R439, then onwards to Eyrecourt and Killimor on the R356
N63—Galway to Roscommon Road—impassable and closed between Loughgeorge and Annagh Cross except for local access.
Ballymoe to Castlerea-- impassable
Williamstown impassable—divert via Glenamaddy
N18 Galway to Gort Road—flooded at Kiltartan—diversions in place
N18 between Clarenbridge and Kilcolgan -- flooded but passable
N18 - Impassable at Labane. Diversions in place
N18 – Galway to Limerick Road – impassable at Crow Street, Gort. Local diversions in place.
R333 – Headford to Tuam Road via Caherlistrane – impassable
The Athenry to Monivea Road impassable at the Monivea end
N17 – Galway to Tuam Road – is now passable at Two Mile Ditch.
N17 - Impassable at Claregalway and the road is now closed. Diversions in place: travelling on the N17 from Tuam via Loughgeorge follow the diversions in place for Galway. If travelling from Galway to Tuam: take the N84 Galway Headford Road to Clonboo , turn right at Cloonboo Cross for Loughgeorge, turn left onto the N17 for Tuam.
N6 – Impassable at Ballinasloe –
The Ballinasloe Section of the M6 is open on a temporary basis East and West of Ballinasloe bypassing the town of Ballinasloe. Drivers are asked to obey all signals, stay in lane and no overtaking. The maximum speed limit is 50 kilometres per hour.
R349 – Loughrea to Athenry – road impassable
R339 – Galway to Monivea Road – impassable at a number of locations between Carnmore Cross and Monivea
Galway County Council, Ballinasloe Town Council, An Garda Siochana, Civil Defence, HSE and the Army Services are working together to ensure that any necessary action is taken and updates will be given on local radio on a regular basis and are also available on Galway County Councils website: www.galway.ie
Please note that flood waters are continuing to rise in some areas.
